The investiture ceremony of change of guard held at the mausoleum of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal in connection with the birth anniversary Monday.

A smartly turned out contingent of the Pakistan Navy assumed the responsibility of guard from the Pakistan Rangers with traditional spirit and enthusiasm.

Pakistan Navy Lahore Station Commander, Commodore Neimatullah, was the chief guest of the ceremony.

Commodore Neimatullah inspected the guard of honour, laid a wreath of flowers at Mazar-e-Iqbal and offered prayer for progress and prosperity of the country.

Later, he also penned down his comments in the Visitors’ book.

Many Muslims around the world revere Allama Iqbal as the Poet of East, great philosopher and visionary leader.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Directorate General of Public Relations launched a new motivational song “Shaheen-o-Mahi” to pay tribute to the great philosopher and thinker.

The song was not only a tribute to the poet of the East Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal but also depicted Iqbal’s vision for the guardians of aerial defence.

According to a PAF press release, renowned Pakistani vocalist Zaib Bangash sang the song.

PAF paid homage on the 144th birth anniversary of Dr Allama Mohammad Iqbal.

The main theme of this song was to acquaint the youth with the Iqbal’s philosophy of self-realization and bravery.
