Omar Ayub appointed as opposition leader

Omar Ayub Khan has been appointed as Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly today.

National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has declared Sunni Ittehad Council-backed Omar Ayub as Opposition Leader.

Earlier, PTI-SIC alliance had formally nominated Omar Ayub Khan for the Leader of the Opposition and submitted his papers to the office of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

The National Assembly Secretariat has issued a notification in this connection.
