Zakat Deduction Process
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has instructed all relevant Zakat collection authorities to apply the Rs179,689 Nisab threshold for deductions. Individuals whose bank account balances exceed this limit will have Zakat deducted at 2.5%. Those who wish to opt out of automatic deductions must submit Form CZ-08 (A & B) to the concerned ministry before the due date.
