Musakhel Earthquake Damages 125 Houses and Injures 19 in Balochistan's Kingri Tehsil
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Balochistan has released an official damage assessment report confirming that a recent earthquake in Musakhel district has left 125 houses damaged and 19 people injured, as relief operations continue in the affected areas of Kingri tehsil.

Authorities have moved swiftly to respond to the disaster. Medical camps have been established in the affected areas to provide treatment to the injured, while essential supplies including tents, bedding, solar lights, gas cylinders, mats, and mosquito nets are being distributed among displaced and affected families.
The PDMA and district administration are maintaining continuous monitoring of the situation on the ground. A detailed survey remains ongoing to produce a comprehensive assessment of the full extent of losses caused by the earthquake, with the current figures expected to be updated as data collection progresses.
Six Earthquakes in Two Days Across Pakistan
The Musakhel earthquake is part of a broader pattern of seismic activity that has affected the country in recent days. Over the preceding 48 hours, six moderate earthquakes were recorded across different parts of Pakistan, prompting concern among geologists and disaster management authorities about the elevated level of tectonic activity in the region.
Venezuela Earthquake Linked to Pakistan Tremors
Experts have offered a notable explanation for the recent uptick in seismic activity across Pakistan and the wider South Asian region. Geologists have stated that seismic waves generated by a major earthquake in Venezuela may be connected to the tremors being felt across Pakistan, illustrating the interconnected nature of global tectonic systems.
Scientists noted that the recent moderate earthquakes recorded across Pakistan and neighboring areas are primarily the result of the continuous movement of tectonic plates that underlie the region — one of the world’s most seismically active zones. They further explained that energy released by major earthquakes occurring in distant regions can, in certain geological conditions, influence tectonic systems far removed from the original epicenter, contributing to tremors in countries thousands of kilometers away.
Authorities have urged residents in affected areas to cooperate with relief teams and report any additional damage as the survey process continues.
