Shehbaz congrats MBS on holding WEF session

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman in Riyadh today.

The two leaders, during the meeting, discussed bilateral relations, regional situation and the Israeli war in Gaza. Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the Saudi Crown Prince on the successful holding of the special session of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh. Shehbaz thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for sending a high-level delegation to Pakistan headed by Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Bill Gates in Riyadh.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of a special session of the World Economic Forum.

Bill Gates praised immunization and polio vaccination program in Punjab. The prime minister reiterated his commitment to continue working with Bill Gates

Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked Bill Gates for his congratulatory letter on his re-election.

Pakistan is working tirelessly to eliminate polio from the country, the prime minister said.

He thanked the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for eradicating polio.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had said that the country’s economic situation is improving with collective efforts.

Speaking at the Cabinet meeting, the prime minister said that our exports and remittances have increased and the economic situation is improving with the collective effort of just two months. Progress in deals with Saudi Arabia and other countries on investment are taking place at face pace.

He said that decisions have been made regarding reduction of electricity theft and transmission line. Track and trace report on cigarettes came yesterday. In 2019, a contract for track and trace system was signed and in the first phase only cigarettes and later fertilizers, sugar and sectors were included. This track and trace system was nothing but a complete fraud as the track and trace system regarding cigarette did not bear results.
