Slurs shouted at Bushra Bibi outside Adiala Jail

A group of men hurled and shouted insulting and derogatory slogans against pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi while she was arriving at Adiala Jail.

The group of people intercepted her vehicle and chanted slogans like ; illegal nikkah unacceptable, black magic unacceptable, fake pirni unacceptable and Iddat mein nikah na manzoor.

The police did not intervene to stop the so called protesters blocking the Bushra’s vehicle. The police later dispersed this small group from the jail entrance.

The wife of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief was expected at the jail today for the hearing of her interim bail request in the £190 million settlement case.

Bushra Bibi being besieged and insulted by unidentified ‘protesters’ or ‘miscreants’ raised serious questions in relation to dignity and security of women in Pakistan.
