If you were wondering the AI is currently limited for Samsung users thanks to the Galaxy S24 line up, then you are mistaken as we have unearthed some cool hidden AI feature in your iPhone.

Some of you might be waiting for the next iOS update or a new iPhone to have artificial intelligence on your fingertips as Apple has been quite secretive when it comes to generative AI until recently.

It is already present in your iPhone and already assisting some of your most used apps like Camera, Photos and Siri among others.

First up is clone your voice:

It sounds familiar? It works somewhat similar to Samsung’s new AI voice assistant on calls. It is there in your iPhone since iOS 17 update last year. It actually need assistance from you in order to work, unlike Samsung’s assistance which is does the job all by itself.

Personal Voice is an accessibility setting that uses on-device machine learning to allow people at risk of speech loss to replicate their voice so they can more easily communicate with loved ones.

To learn your voice, the iPhone asks you to read out loud 150 phrases. It then uses AI to analyze your voice and generates a synthetic version of it.

It sounds crazy and creepy at the same time.

Copy text from images:

Now a days copying text from images have become a child’s play thanks to AI. The feature already available on your iPhone since 2021’s iOS 15 update.

It’s a computer-vision tool that recognises handwritten and type-written text in photos, much like Google Lens. Text from images can then be copy-and-pasted with just a few easy taps.

AutoCorrect:

You can now curse without Apple changing your swear word of choice to something more benign, like “duck” or “shut.”

It is has improved drastically, more than you can imagine on a broader level.

Autocorrect can now fix mistakes more accurately and serves up more customized inline predictive text. Much of this improvement is credited to iOS 17’s new transformer language model, which uses machine learning for word prediction according to Apple.

We all love portraits, and there is no surprise that AI does its magic to get the perfect shot. In Cinematic Mode, the phone uses AI to simulate the desired aperture and dynamically adjusts focus to keep your moving subject sharp. One of the newer AI-powered capabilities, courtesy of iOS 17, is the Photo app’s ability to identify pets in a photo, which allows for better photo organization.
