He shot himself dead with his service rifle inside an army camp in Naugam sector of the district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, this incident raised the number of such deaths among Indian troops and police personnel in IIOJK to 476 since January 2007.

On the other hand, two pro-India political parties, National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party also slammed the government’s move to implement property tax in the territory.

In their separate statements, the parties said the tax overburdened the people already in crisis.

Terming the move as grave injustice, the parties said instead of imparting fiscal help and other supportive measures, the Indian government wants to suck the life and blood of Kashmiri people.

On Saturday, four more Kashmiri youth embraced martyrdom in Kulgam and Pulwama districts.

In their fresh acts of state terrorism, Indian troops martyred youth at Chingam and  Kangan area of Pulwama during cordon and search operations.

Hurriyat leaders, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and Abdul Samad Inqilabi paid glowing tributes to the martyred youth.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in Udhampur jail of Jammu region.
