English cricketer Harry Brook banned from IPL until 2028
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has banned English cricketer Harry Brooke for two years from participating in the IPL.
This has been revealed in an Indian media report.
Recently, Harry Brooke announced his withdrawal from the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting this month, saying that he wants to focus all his attention on international cricket.
Brooke, 26, was bought by Delhi Capitals for IPL 2025. The 18th season of the Indian Premier League is scheduled to begin on March 22.
“I have taken a very difficult decision not to participate in this year’s IPL season, I apologise to Delhi Capitals,” he said.
Brook has been banned for two years from participating in the IPL after withdrawing at the last minute before the start of the tournament.
In fact, according to the new IPL law, any foreign player who registers in the auction and withdraws from the tournament before the start of the season after being bought by the franchise will be banned from participating in the tournament for two seasons.
According to Indian media reports, the BCCI has informed Harry Brooke and the England and Wales Cricket Board about its decision to ban The Batter for two years.
