Amir delighted as Quetta qualify for playoffs

Pacer Mohammad Amir was over the moon as Quetta Gladiators won a last ball thriller against Lahore Qalandars to book their spot in the playoffs of the HBL Pakistan Super League season nine (PSL9).

The pacer took to X and lauded impressive batting of Saud Shakeel and batting heroics of Mohammad Wasim Jr.

“Into the playoffs after a nail-biting match against Lahore! Thanks to Allah Almighty and a massive shout out to Saud Shakeel and Wasim Jr. what a finish,” he wrote on X.

It is worth mentioning here that, Wasim Jr stuck a six over midwicket to Shaheen Shah Afridi on the final ball of the over as the Gladiators snatch a historic victory at the National Bank Stadium.

With this victory, Karachi Kings were also eliminated from the tournament.

Saud remained unbeaten on 88, hitting five fours and four sixes in 65-ball knock.
