Russia introduces new citizenship & job portal for foreign professionals – check details

MOSCOW: Russia has launched a new digital portal to provide citizenship and job opportunities to foreign professionals under its “Impatriation” scheme. The program aims to attract talented and skilled people from around the world to Russia.

According to foreign media reports, the program is for foreign nationals with the required professional skills and willing to move to Russia permanently.

Applicants are required to demonstrate professional skills as well as respect for traditional Russian values.

How to Apply:

Candidates will have to go through a structured online process that will require the following documents:
A comprehensive CV with all the details

Educational qualifications and professional certificates.

After the documents are submitted, the authorities will review the professional background of the candidates, after which an online interview will be conducted. A maximum of 125 days has been set for the final decision on the application.

According to reports, those who will be granted the status of “Impatriate” will be provided with the following facilities:

Full assistance in obtaining a visa and assistance in providing accommodation and social integration, in addition to this, a personal manager will be appointed to assist each successful candidate, who will guide them in administrative matters.

Those whose applications are rejected can reapply under a tourist visa or (HQS) category. However, reapplication for this specific program will be allowed after one year.

The plan is part of Russia’s broader strategy to strengthen its economy and skills sectors by attracting global talent.
