Punjab boards increase matric registration and migration fees for 2026–28

Education boards across Punjab have increased registration and migration fees for matric students. The new rates apply to Class 9 and 10 students for the 2026–28 academic session.

Officials say the decision was taken due to financial constraints. All nine educational boards in Punjab have already started the matric registration process.

Registration Fee Details

Students can submit their registration forms with the normal fee until June 8. The total registration cost has now been set at Rs2,350, which includes:

• Rs1,150 registration fee
• Rs870 processing fee
• Rs300 sports fee

Students who miss the deadline can still apply between June 9 and June 23, but they will have to pay an extra Rs600 as a late fee.

Other Updated Charges

The boards have also revised fees for other student services:

• Personal data correction fee is Rs750 until October 31, and Rs1,250 after the deadline
• Subject change fee is Rs2,400 until October 31, and Rs2,900 after that
• Migration fee has been set at Rs4,800

Required Documents and Concerns

Students must submit a B-Form and their father’s CNIC to complete registration.

Teachers and parents have expressed concern over the rising costs, saying the increased fees may create financial pressure for many families with limited income.
