Pakistan Mission to the UN holds pro Kashmir webinar on self determination day in support of Kashmiris.
Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Munir Akram said underlined another aspect of Kashmir dispute.

While speaking at the webinar, he noted it not just a territorial dispute but a dispute that also involves the people of Kashmir.
He further said that every Pakistani has a deep sense of commitment to the cause of Kashmir.
Munir Akram said Pakistan has re-internationalized the Kashmir issue.
He said for the last 15-20 years, the issue was dormant at the United Nations and in international forums. Today it is alive again.
The Ambassador said it is Pakistan, which is the backbone of the Kashmiri struggle. And we must remain united.
Furthermore, he stated that “We all agree on the legitimacy of the Kashmiri struggle.”
He said we all agree on the massive violations of human rights, which have taken place in Kashmir over the years. Specially in the recent past.
Munir said we also all agree on the heroism and dedication of the Kashmiri people whose third generation is keeping the spirit of resistance alive.
Indian Army loses its personnel to suicides
Meanwhile, a leading Indian military think tank has disclosed that every year, the Indian Army loses its personnel to suicides, fratricides and untoward incidents.
It noted a significant increase in the stress levels of the troops during the past two decades.
The New Delhi-based think tank, United Services Institution, stated this in its findings.
It further stated that at present, more than half of the Army seems to be under severe stress.
According to a report of Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, 486 Indian troops and police personnel have committed suicide in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir since January 2007.
Meanwhile, Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in Kupwara and Shopian districts, subjecting the residents to huge inconvenience amid severe cold.
On the other hand, Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement Parton, Farida Bahenji, and Chairman, Molvi Bashir Ahmed at a function organized by the party in Srinagar paid rich tributes to prominent liberation activist, Sajjad Ahmad Kenu, on his 25th martyrdom anniversary.
