Security Forces Kill 39 Terrorists in Balochistan During Operation Shabaan
Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Balochistan Police are continuing Operation Shabaan following the terrorist attack on the Mangy Dam Police Station, according to security sources.
Security sources said that 26 terrorists were killed during the first phase of the operation on July 6 and 7.
The operation is now focused on rugged mountainous areas, where security forces have tightened the cordon around terrorist hideouts. Ground troops and helicopters are being used to carry out operations against the militants.
Over the past 24 hours, security forces killed another 13 terrorists, bringing the total number of militants killed in Operation Shabaan to 39.
Separately, security sources said a terrorist attack on a police station in the Zidi area of Khuzdar was successfully repelled on Friday morning. Army and FC troops responded quickly, and eight terrorists were confirmed killed.
Security sources also reported that another five to six terrorists were killed during helicopter operations.
According to security sources, since July 5, a total of 75 terrorists have been killed in Operation Shabaan and other intelligence-based operations.
